That is a great question.  While Shopify stores were not built to include this feature directly I did some digging and found an app that sounds like the closest fit to what you would like to do.  :-) It is called Trade Orders and can be found here.  As explained with in the description it "can be used for payment on account, trade orders or for any situation where you want to allow a certain group of customers to complete an order without taking financial paymentupfront".  You are in luck as it comes with a free 7 day trial as well so you can try it out and see if it is a good fit!

Hi Chris,

From my experience all these apps use their own payment gateway built into them, where a payment is charged externally to Shopify using the Shopify hosted SDK- https://docs.shopify.com/hosted-payment-sdk 

If you wanted to build your own private app app you might like to reach out to the expert dev's to help you build that- https://experts.shopify.com/developers

An alternative that might be useful would be to use the Shopify draft order section to send on a custom built invoice to your customers with a secure checkout link to make a once off payment- https://docs.shopify.com/manual/your-store/orders/create-orders

It would be important to consider that many gateways only allow a certain amount of time for you to be able to capture a payment, for example Shopify Payments provide 7 days

Hi Courtney,

Thanks for reaching out on the forums!

There is a new app in beta in the app store that just might work- https://apps.shopify.com/craftybase

I would recommend reaching out to them to see if they are suitable for you and help you to do all these things, because the app isn't 100% clear on whether its able to block an items sale when one part of your total product is out of stock!

I would also suggest the same for Shopify Assistance.. you never know if an app developer will be able to create custom functions for you!

There are number of apps which should be able to generate customisable emails which could be sent to POS customers requesting a review of a product. The following are three great apps for increasing the amount of feedback you get by automating the review invitation process. 

• Receiptful

• Predictive Email Marketing

•  

  Follow Up Email

   

It is also possible to create notifications based on certain products and situations using these apps.

There is an app, AnswersEasy Support, that allows you to set up a responsive FAQ to embed in your online store. You could set up your store navigation such that visitors to your store reach this page before they access your contact details :)

Hi Guys,

As the title suggests, my BookThatApp date picker currently only allows customers to select a date up to 1 year into the future. As we're taking bookings for weddings, we'd like this to extend further into the future.

Can anyone suggest how I edit this to make it work please?

I never received feedback on this, so would like to follow up. I have learned since posting this that the Google Feed via Shopify's API will not push "Vendor" to the feed without having a "MPN" number according to support.

So my new, hopefully simplified question would be, can someone recommend a Shopify App that makes it simple to pre-pend or append the product Title with the vendor? I need this to happen within the shopify product database (not just the theme or liquid files) in order for the API to send the optimized data. 

I am considering doing a bulk export, updating in excel using concatenate etc. then re-uploading, but 1) I don't want to break my site in case something goes awry with the upload and 2) if an app exists that makes this more straightforward, I prefer that.

Is there any app that can allow Subscriptions to be added to a cart on an external website?  We weren't planning on hosting a shopify store, just using the Buy Button...but I may have to change my plans if the answer to this question is "no".  Help!

If you are buying an app because you read all all good reviews on the app page? Don't!

Almost 90% of these reviews are fake. I am in the middle of switching my store to shopify, I spend a lot of time on app marketplace and it's really annoying to read very similar reviews for different apps. Probably fiverr or friends.

Reviews are basically a summary of the app description and how great their customer support is. When you check these reviewers website, Either the store is locked or going to a website not exist anymore.

I don't want to expose any seller here but fells like there are no apps without fake reviews on the marketplace...
