Hey Point B Solutions,

I would recommend using the Loyalty Points app by BOLD to support a system where customers can be assigned points which they can use to purchase products.

For tracking purchases, you can do this with the built in features of the platform (the orders page & customers page in the Shopify admin).

You can use the bulk customer import option to add all of the current employees - See here for step by step instructions on how to do this. You would want to manually remove employees as they leave the company, after doing the initial import.

Then you can use the Bulk Account Invite Sender app to have each employee create an account (set their password).

For grouping customers, you will want to check out this help doc for Creating Customer Groups.

Hope this helps,

T shirt app reviews / recommendations, please by Karen Tiede

We will primarily be selling beverages at my store.  We would like to offer a few of the labels on t-shirts.

When I installed Printful, they took my entire product category, including cases of beverages, into the Prinful product listing.  Their customer support told me to "ignore" items I didn't want printed on t-shirts.  This seems like trouble, because it's  far too easy to accidentally order the wrong thing and get a t-shirt with a picture of a case of wine.

Can you recommend any of the alternative t-shirt print-on-demand apps?  A similar question was asked in 2013, and I think the field may have changed since then.

Thank you.

I take it that there is still no answer to the unnecessary color variant for items that only have one color. So I guess I'm going to have to take all 142 of my items, add the color variant and put N/A. So ridiculous. But this is the "fix" that seems to work. I tried it on 5 items so far and they were published.

Shopify product bundles by Stacey Pottinger

Hi people

I am looking for help with product 'bundles'.

Basically, I need to create a bundle in shopify - eg. a suit. This bundle product would sit on the category page and visually act like a product and allow the customer to choose a jacket (with maybe 20 or more size variants) and trousers (which again may have 20 or more size variants) in whichever size combination they want.

I have installed an app called 'product kits' from a company called Spice Gems.

In this product kit app, you have to add every actual variant. It is very time consuming and not very user friendly. However, it is the only thing I could find that comes close to my needs.

The question I have (I have asked Spice Gems and they haven't got a clue) is whether with a bit of dev, the amount of variants can be extended from 100. 100 vaiants of sizes, although it seems alot, really reduces the amount of size combinations I can offer a customer.

Second question would be - Is there anythging better out there that would allow a bundle to be created just using the jacket and trouser configurable without having to allow for every variable?

Thanks

Stacey

Location based prices displayed in local currency and checked out in store currency converted at Shopify XE rate by CR

Hello there,

We are looking for ways to implement location based prices that will be displayed in local currency, and at checking out, the price will be converted to store currency at Shopify XE rate. And we don't want to do multiple stores.

Anybody had similar requirements and what solutions worked? Anybody know of any App that will be able to do this? Or any Apps combination? We'd appreciate inputs and comments. Thanks!

Best regards,

CR

Best app for managing an image gallery and referral program? by Todd Luebke

I'm looking for an app the allows me to host/manage a gallery of user submitted images for syndication to the various social media. Along with a slider for the homepage.

Tied to that would be a loyalty program to incentivise creation/sharing of the images. Sell 3 get coupon for 1 free type of offer.

Seems as though I can find one or the other but not both in the same package.

Is there an app with both the image gallery functionality and referral management?

Thanks,

Todd

Hey CR,

The above just talks about displaying the currencies in a converted format not actually changing the value used at the time of checkout. I don't think this is what you're looking for, but it is the way it's done.

A single Shopify store allows you to checkout in one currency, at the price that the variant is set at. You won't be able to dynamically change the price (exception being discounts).

If you must let the customer check out in different currencies you'll need to setup multiple accounts. This lets you set the pricing per region, and have total control over the marketing and language.

Amazon App option to deny negative inventory sales by Matthew Griffin

Loving the new Amazon integration app, but I'm having an inventory management issue affect our seller performance.  I believe this would be fixed with an app option to allow Shopify to manage Amazon inventory AND allow/deny Amazon to sell products with negative inventory.

We've been adjusting the Amazon production time for items with negative inventory, but we have an issue when we sell multiple products with different lead times.  For example: we sell footwear with a lead time of 10 days.  On that same order, the customer purchases an in-stock shirt.  This causes customer confustion and the cancellation of entire orders because of the inability to split shipments and meet Amazon's fulfillment rating criteria.  In this example, the option to deny negative inventory sales on Amazon would have only allowed the customer to buy the shirt.  This option would help with customer satisfaction, reduce customer service time spent, and keep our sell performance numbers high.

Hi Stacey,

Ankit here.. Co-founder at SpiceGems.

The 100 variant limit is imposed by Shopify. The Kits app allows you to link various child products to a Master product. Since The Master Product and the Cild Product are essentially Shopify products, the 100 variant limit applies us to as well.

Regards,

Ankit
