I'm using Coolence Ultra SEO. Might this double up be from having the Shopify Meta description tab populated and also having a meta through Ultra SEO?
Maybe. Don't know anything about that app, or what extra code or snippets might have been added to your theme. If you're worried about breaking things, make a theme copy first.
