We all in the same boat since shopify launched. If we want to set different shipping rates for certain UK postcodes, it's not been possible till now.
If you install Custom Shipping Rates App from the store, you will be able to code in PHP your custom rates.
What i am offering, as i already finished coding for a UK store, if you contact me, i will write you a PHP script handled by this app, matching your need e.g. Couriers and Prices you wish for different postcodes.
