Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the reply!  On #1, I don't think this is the most elegant solution.  The biggest problem I see is that it requires us to find the original transaction.  There will be many times where it's inconvenient or just overly cumbersome to find the original transaction.  If you know right off that the return is legit on an item that you sell hundreds of, it should be easier to return it without disturbing the original transaction.  Every shop is different, but very frequently in our shop, we will return an item and issue gift certificate for the balance (so, negative 1 necklaces worth $44 dollars plus 1 gift certificate for $44 = $0 due).  I can elaborate here about why I prefer this method if you'd like.  Curious if I'm missing something here as far as why you all decided to go this route with returns?

#2 - I'm unfamiliar with the software that would cleanly/quickly print barcodes, but I'm glad to hear you're adding tighter integration for barcode printing.  If it could be tied to orders, that would be ideal.  Clothing with different sizes/color variants is especially a pain to do one offs for.  It's much preferable to be able to place an order, receive it, and print all the barcodes for the received items.

#3 - When we closed the register, the payments were totaled, but I'm looking for the same type of thing you did for cash: a verification step.  The cash was verified, but the credit cards were not.  Something like: "Did you receive $620.85 in CC sales in this shift?"  you can say "yes" or enter the amount if it differs.  It's unlikely, but it's helpful to catch mistakes right away when they are made and be able to make notes about what cause a difference in collected amounts.  Sometimes, we'll run a card for an invoice that is outside of Stitch, and that amount will be included in our CC settlement, but we'd like to notate in the register closing why the CC settlement was different from what the register says it should have been.  As far as the online reports go, thanks for pointing out the Payment Types report.  I'd missed that.  This report is good, but we need a little more flexibility.  Ideally, we'd be able to go day by day and exclude online from view if we choose.  What you've provided will work, but I think it would be fairly universally valuable to have this type of customization in the reporting.

Thanks!
-Will
