OK this may be an extremely niche problem, but here we go- My cousin runs a fairly popular Shopify store and likes being notified upon new sales. As most of her day is spent away from a computer those notifications come (or, sometimes, not) via the official Shopify App. Reliability (due to the nature of the Apple Push Service, not Shopify) and daily sales volume (sometimes dozens of orders, mostly on weekends) being what they are she can't stand or keep up with the notifications. But she still wants simpler visibility into sales than she gets with a lot of the dashboard apps or the official app.
Being a good cousin and ios consultant I hacked together a Today widget for ios8 that captures daily sales without the barrage of notifications. Swipe down, and you see daily total sales volume and revenue. Click through to the app to see all the sales today. She's happy enough with the app, and has shown it to other shop owners who said they would be interested in using it as well.
My question - would any other shop owners be interested in a solution like this? Is this even a problem you have? If I can get any positive non-family interest I'd consider putting it into production. With discount codes for help Shopify forum users, of course.
I appreciate the read and any feedback you might have-
