Hi, Ive just got the google shopping App and have started getting my products showing up in google shopping searches. Very happy!
The only problem is I only get one search result for my item where as my competitors get one result per colour variation of the product. Example: search google shopping for FLA043. there is currently only myself and one other trader offering this product. I stock Grey and Black but only the primary picture and no colour information is shown on my listing.
I have read through the product feed specification from google found this information
"For apparel items, it is required that you provide a unique image of the specific variant if the item differs by ‘color’, ‘pattern’ or ‘material’."
I dont see how I can provide photos that tie specifically to a particular colour variation within shopify.
So I considered creating new products for each colour variant but it comes with its own set of problems and further reading revealed the following.
"If you don't include variant attributes in your feed, you shouldn't submit several variants of the same product as separate listings (ex: the same product in different colors, sizes). These items will be considered as duplicates which is against our Program Policies."
Any help would be much appreciated
