Advice needed re: Developer for simplified affiliate app by Adam George

Hello, I'm looking for advice on whether this is possible with current apps, or advice on developers who may be able to write a custom app. We have an existing site with the same functionality which we want to move to Shopify, so this is a real need, not a fishing exercise.

We require a simplified affiliate tracking app, where affiliates are NOT paid. There is no need for any type of payment tracking for affiliates. The best way I can describe this is like an online wedding registry, where we are the shop and affiliates choose products they want people to buy, or like a donation mechanism where people set a goal of how much they want to raise.

Example:

• People sign-up on the front-end to become affiliates. This signup includes:
  • a field for the name of their store
    • This becomes the title of their store and if possible, part of the sanitised URL of their store - e.g. http://www.MYDOMAIN/pages/affiliate/[some-name-here]
  • a field which references the ID of a physical store, if they have one
  • a description of their store
  • ability to add a photo representing themselves or their store
• Affiliates select one (only) of these options to sell via their affiliate page:
  • one or more of a pre-defined (by us) selection of products from our store, or
  • a goal - either:
    • X dollars towards a product (e.g. people donate $ toward a large gift), or
    • X number of a single product (multiple copies of one product are aimed to be sold)
• When a user goes to an affiliate page:
  • They can add items to the cart and checkout as normal
  • The order/purchase is attributed to the affiliate
    • This is done preferably via a cookie, but if necessary:
    • The user enters the affiliate number during purchase.
• The site should recognise when a user has entered via an affiliate page in order to provide appropriate navigation for them to move around the site and go back the affiliate page, or to leave (forget) the affiliate page if desired.
• The affiliate page:
  • has the ability to display the total amount they have sold and/or
  • the total number of products sold.
  • we should be able to output their goal and the actual total.

Questions:

1. Is this possible?
2. What ball-park figure would we expect to pay to have this developed?
3. How much time might it take, once the brief is formalised?
