Here's a scenario:
Day 0: Shop Signs up to Shopify; 30-day shop billing cycle starts
Day 10: App is installed
- Store choses the Silver Plan ($20/month).
- 30-day recurring app billing cycle starts;
- Silver Recurring App Charge ($20) is added to shop’s next invoice.
Day 30: Shop is invoiced;
- Silver Recurring App Charge ($20) appears for the first time.
Day 40: Recurring charge cycle restarts;
- Silver Recurring App Charge ($20) is added to shop’s next invoice.
Day 60: Shop is invoiced;
- Silver Recurring App Charge ($20) is included
Day 65: Store downgrades plan
- Store downgrades to Bronze Plan ($10/month)
- 30-day recurring app charge cycle restarts; Bronze Recurring App Chargeis added to shop’s next invoice.
- Silver Recurring App Charge is cancelled and replaced by Bronze Recurring App Charge;
- Prorated amount of $16.66 for 25 out of 30 days of the Silver Recurring App Charge is added to shop’s next invoice.
Day 90: Shop is invoiced;
- Bronze Recurring App Charge ($10) is included
- Prorated Silver Recurring App Charge ($16.66) is included
Day 95: Recurring charge cycle restarts;
- Bronze Recurring App Charge ($10 is added to shop’s next invoice
Day 120: Shop is invoiced;
- Bronze Recurring App Charge ($10) is included
