MinMaxify - Apply To Total by Jared Kelly

Hello,

I'm having an issue with Minmaxify.  I have attempted to contact the Developer, but that hasn't gone well.  

My question:

I have the Apply To Total working correctly to an extent.  I have it setting and min and max to specific items, but for some reason, it is applying the MAXIMUM to the total cart and not to just the specified items.  For instance, the max for Item A&B is 4.  I have 2 of both Item A&B and then add a new item C.  It is now over the max even though C should not be in the equation.  Anyone else have a fix for this?  Hopefully that's understandable.  I have been messing with this issue ALL WEEKEND!
