Hi folks - we have a need for a client of ours, and before we go building a custom app to do this we wanted to ask you all for some feedback.
Has anyone every worked with the Bold 'Product Options' app before? We're trying to get it to work so someone can build a 'kit' of products at a discount price. The trick, however, is we need to deduct the options selected from existing product inventory.
Example:
The store sells yellow, red, and green widgets as separate products; each product is $10. Each has an inventory of 10. Now, if we wanted to sell a power tool where a buyer could purchase up to 3 widgets (of any kind...yellow, red and green) to build a kit for the tool - with each widget being $6 (instead of $10); if the buyer built the kit picking 2 yellow widgets and 1 green it would deduct 2 yellow widgets from the yellow $10 product inventory (reducing it to 8 in stock), and 1 from the green $10 inventory (reducing it to 9 in stock).
Has anyone ever used the Product Options app to do this, or done anything similar?
We would be interested to learn of your approach, perhaps collaborating on the project.
Cheers!
