Hi everyone. I learned about an amazing service I'd love to offer through our Shopify shop. It's called ID.me (www.ID.me) and allows us to offer military, first responder, and/or student discounts without the risk of unsavory characters falsely claiming undeserved discounts. Basically, members of those groups create an ID.me "digital ID" account and ID.me authenticates eligibility against those accounts during the checkout process.
ID.me is already available on Magento and a couple of other platforms. Some big names have adopted it and The White House has commented on it for the benefits it provides to our service members (it began with troops and has expanded). I have asked Shopify to add ID.me capability to Shopify. It has to work with the discount engine and checkout progress.
