Hi Johannes,
First of all I want say that the app is really awesome. It does what everyone running their own ecommerce store needs - simplicity. I couldn't recommend it more for someone who needs a website in multiple languages.
Despite the fact that it's already explained I just wanted to double check something before I go ahead and do it:
I've got a store, sinchronic.com, that I have created in English (it's currently showing a Spanish translation - long story) but my target market, and pretty much my only market is in Spain. I want to keep the English version that I've made but obviously create a Spanish translation for everything and set that as my default. Most importantly, I need to be as SEO friendly as possible in Spain cause I want to fight for that #1 position... I need more customers through clicks.
Tell me if I'm wrong but from what I gather, the best way to do it is to buy another domain, sinchronic.es for example, add it to my Shopify account and assign my Spanish translation to that new domain, right?
By using that method, it shouldn't technically be any different than if I were to set up a website in Spanish and optimize it, should it? There are no downsides for not having Spanish as the base language for SEO are there?
Thanks in advance and again, GREAT APP!
